I can’t sleep; I am getting scared, this blog is beginning to sound like the start of Fight Club*. Yes, at 4:30 grandma decided that it was the perfect time for waking up and managed to make enough noise to make sure everyone knew it. Then some 30 minutes later (thanks to Mom) she considered that maybe she was on the wrong and went back to bed. I couldn’t, I am not capable of being awake for half an hour and then slipping back into dreams.
But that’s OK, it is Friday and I have no concrete plans for today, so I will take a nap later in the afternoon. Anyway I kind of like it, the whole house asleep and here I am, awake, searching the Web (the World Wide Web) and writing. It is like diving into a clear, cold and empty swimming pool at the gym; you can take your time, get lost in thought, fool around and get things done without other people even knowing.
Thanks to this free time I was able to calmly listen to the song Big Jet Plane by Angus & Julia Stone that a friend (Roberto GutiErrez) posted on Facebook; that was just perfect because it saved me the trouble of going in search of a song for today (yay!). Rather productive, don’t you find?
I really love the video, lately I have been feeling like that gal; somewhat lost, somewhat numb (but without the being all bored at the dollar store, because I really love them). So here it is:
*The movie at least, because I never read the novel by Chuck Palahniuk, so I can’t tell you if it starts the same way.
