The beauty of humans and weirdness

So, this blog is about things I love, and if you think about it, things we love aren't always happy things. Sometimes sadness and the complexity of human behavior can be just as breathtaking as any other so called Joyous moment.

A long time ago, I saw this documentary (In the Realms of the Unreal directed by Jessica Yu) and I think it is one of the most beautiful pieces of film ever made. Not only is the story such an amazing testament of the incredible ways the human mind might work, but the form the documentary has, with various narrator, testimonials and animations, I just find brilliant.

It is a sad account, the story of a man that spent all his days alone and all his nights writing. When he died he seemed to have made no mark on this world, however, hidden in his room ware tons of illustration, mix media collages and a huge novel. He was an odd person and his work of course was also kind of weird, nevertheless a beautiful put together story develops on the film. I loved it; hope you love it to.

I know they have it on Netflix to watch instantly
But if you want, you can buy it! And give it as a gift, to your friends or your favorite blogger girl.
