Hello new day!

It is almost Friday, but we still have some time to be productive.

I wanted to post this song; because I LOVE it (I love it with all my capital letters).
Trouble Is A Friend by Lenka

I think it is my theme song, always getting into trouble. I always find the wrong thing to say, then I say it out loud, while laughing; I turn red, I take a sip of my cup, and repeat.

One day I will have children (mine or adopted) and I will read them from Oh! The Places You’ll Go! by Dr. Seuss (quoted below), because I also love that book with only capital letters… so I LOVE it.
As a child I think it would have helped me to learn a little more of the whole Trouble thing; about losing, failing, keeping calm and carrying on. I didn’t* and it took me about 27 years to realize that Trouble is in fact a friend; a nasty, bad with jokes, annoying when drunk, can’t keep a secret friend, but a friend all the same.

…You won’t lag behind, because you’ll have the speed.
You’ll pass the whole gang and you’ll soon take the lead.
Wherever you fly, you’ll be best of the best.
Wherever you go, you will top all the rest.
Except when you don’t.
Because, sometimes, you won’t.
I’m sorry to say so
but, sadly, it’s true
that Bang-ups
and Hang-ups
can happen to you…

*Instead, my mother read me this collection of Russian and Chinese kind -of-socialist books that were (for some strange reason) translated to Spanish and affordable in Mexico. So I did learn about team work, the importance of differences in group situation, the significance of strong beliefs, science and rice balls.
