Marina Bychkova’s Enchanted Dolls

Yesterday I wanted to do another post, but then I found a Web Site that took my mind off of everything; I spent about an hour browsing the images and feeling sort of weird. The page was for Enchanted Dolls, ceramic dolls done by Marina Bychkova.

I don’t know what it is about dolls but they tend to fascinate me (in a rather eerie way), I guess it is because they are supposed to look human and at the same time have obvious signs of being artificial. The dolls Marina makes are unbelievable; I can’t believe that someone has the talent to make them out of raw materials, plus the accessories she creates for them are perfect and out of this world.

Have a look at my top five:

Noire

Beauty and the Beast

Rococo Triptych

You should visit her web site (here), specially the Doll Process tab, where you can have a peek at how she does her dolls (it is really incredible). In her site you can shop for dolls if you want, and you can even customize them to you likings and desires.

You can also find her dolls on Flickr (here), on DeviantART (here) and on her blog (here)
